LisbonArt.org is a volunteer-developed and maintained site designed to display and promote the art class activities at Lisbon Elementary School, in western Howard County, Md. This site was inspired by Lisbon Elementary art teacher Shawn Costello. All Lisbon parents and children are encouraged to contribute ideas, comments and resources to this site and to enjoy the many wonderful student works displayed here.
Hundreds of Lisbon students create hundreds of pieces of artwork each week and formatting and uploading them all is well beyond the volunteer effort behind this site. But LisbonArt.org will make a good faith effort to display at least one or two images from each student during the school year. So, please be patient—your child's work is on the way. Check back often, as we're regularly adding new content.
Again, a workload issue—specifically, the recordkeeping and labor necessary to correctly label each digital image for transmission from school to the Web developer and additional coding to display names on the site. We're considering ways to streamline the process and may begin including names at some later point.
